Matt Black & Charcoal Flow Minimalist Kitchen

MELISSA & HOWARD

Almost a year after they first broke ground, Melissa and Howard Sheldon of @TheDevonHouseBuild were finally able to move into their dream home in North Devon. Designed and built by A P Build Devon Ltd from the ground up with the kitchen design by Anna Coles here at System Six Kitchens.

THE KITCHEN

Melissa and Howard knew they’d found the right kitchen designer when having already visited two other kitchen companies in the area, they spotted our kitchen display complete with the exact door they had been searching for. The vision for their ideal kitchen comprised a dark and minimalistic aesthetic complete with metallic elements, hidden appliances and matt True Handleless doors.

The end result is a clean and modern look characterised by the true handless Manston and Linden doors and Brass Aluma rails. The contrasting tables with their light chairs and dark green stools make this the perfect room to entertain friends and family whilst fitting the duo-tone aesthetic which extends to the built-in shelves and drawers. With hidden storage built into the design, the customers are able to keep their work surfaces clear as all of their appliances have a dedicated home.

THE UTILITY

To the right of their kitchen, Melissa and Howard have their home office. The dark green bar unit was inspired by a cabinet they had spotted in one of our Quantum Kitchens brochures. They worked with Anna to create this lavish home bar complete with the antique bronze mirror in which they can relax after a long day of work.

Both practical and pretty, the finishing touch on this home is a push-to-open coat cupboard and seating area that sits in the entranceway. The mixed textures mean this is a focal point of the space, whilst the wooden panelling adds warmth.
